Pages: 528
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Released: October 1st 2009
When Abbey’s best friend, Kristen, vanishes at the bridge near Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, everyone else is all too quick to accept that Kristen is dead…and rumors fly that her death was no accident. Abbey has never felt so desperately alone. Then she meets Caspian, the gorgeous and mysterious boy who shows up out of nowhere at Kristen’s funeral, and keeps reappearing in Abbey’s life. Caspian clearly has secrets of his own, but he’s the only person who makes Abbey feel normal again...but also special.

Just when Abbey starts to feel that she might survive all this, she learns a secret that makes her question everything she thought she knew about her best
friend. How could Kristen have kept silent about so much? And could this secret have led to her death? As Abbey struggles to understand Kristen’s betrayal, she uncovers a frightening truth that nearly unravels her—one that will challenge her emerging love for Caspian, as well as her own sanity.
This book is set in the small town of Sleepy Hollow, which is famous for author Washington Irving and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". The story follows Abbey as she struggles to cope with the death of her best friend, Kristen. Abbey has always felt a huge connection to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and when she meets the mysterious Caspian, she finds herself spending more and more time there.

As she spend more time with Caspian, she starts to pick up on certain things. When they meet up, its never in public places and he seems to really like her but is reluctant to touch her. When Abbey eventually finds out the secret Caspian holds, she refuses to believe that it is real.

I loved the connection with 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' and I thought that the book was an interesting read, but I did find myself getting a little bored at times and the characters annoyed me slightly at certain parts.

The story moved along quite slowly and there was unnecessary details about things that weren't really that relevant. I did, however, love the ending. I think that the last couple of chapters totally made the book worth reading, and I will be picking up the sequel to find out what happens next.
